Equipment List

We expect variable weather in the mountains at any time here in Wyoming—afternoon thundershowers and snow storms are not uncommon during summer months, so you must be prepared for cool temperature s as well as sunny, hot days.

Here is a complete list of items that we recommend for our Backpacking Trips. Remember to pack light, but being well-equipped is very important. Local outdoor retail shops can provide anything you don't already have.

Waterproof jacket with hood — no plastic ponchos please!
Rain pants — no plastic please!
Wool or fleece hat
Wool or synthetic gloves or mittens
Sturdy, over the ankle, waterproof hiking boots
Camp shoes like tennis shoes or water sandals
Synthetic long underwear top and bottom
Wool or synthetic socks — 1 pair per day
Insulating layer, like a fleece jacket, vest or wool sweater
Long sleeve t-shirt for hiking or camp
One extra t-shirt for hiking
Nylon shorts
Lightweight pants for camp
Ball cap or visor
Sunglasses
Sun block
Bug repellent
Headlamp or lightweight flashlight
Bandana
Small toiletries — toothbrush, toothpaste, baby wipes
Camp towel for swimming (optional)
Journal, camera, reading material (optional)


We supply Internal frame backpack, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping bag, kitchen items,
First Aid kit, repair kit, cup/bowl/spoon, and all meals. We try to keep your pack as light as possible so that you enjoy your hiking experience.
